Responsibilities as a Data Analyst

As an Analytics Specialist at Zepto, your role encompasses two key areas: Analytics and Growth.

  • In the Analytics realm, you’ll spearhead projects aimed at providing valuable insights to internal stakeholders. This involves crafting reports, dashboards, and automation scripts using tools like Google Suite, SQL, Tableau, R, and Python. Working closely with the City General Manager, you’ll ensure that data-driven decision-making becomes the norm within our organization.
  • Within the Growth domain, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams in Marketing, Procurement, Assortment Strategy, and Operations. Together, you’ll devise and implement growth strategies grounded in data analysis. This includes identifying and addressing process inefficiencies, leveraging automation to streamline operations, and conducting clean, data-backed experiments to refine our approach. At Zepto, we value ownership and encourage a culture where every team member is passionate about our mission and actively contributes to our collective success.


Here are the requirements summarized:

  1. Proficiency in SQL.
  2. Experience with at least one data science programming language, preferably Python or R.
  3. Ability to solve complex problems and propose innovative solutions.
  4. Experience in developing and executing project proposals from start to finish.
  5. Meticulous attention to detail.
  6. Strong work ethic and ability to work with a sense of urgency.
  7. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
