Examples, where a false negative is more important than a false positive are fraud detection, cancer detection, diabetes prediction and in various medical domains.
Examples where a false positive is more important than a false negative are cancer detection, HIV prediction as they would not be suffering from this, but our model will predict the opposite which will cause mental trauma.
