You have to choose between creating a large decision tree or 100 small decision trees for a same problem. Which one will you prefer and why?

A Large decision tree will overfit.
100 small trees can act as an ensemble and help in reducing the variance, thus
giving better results.
We will go with the small 100 decision tree because it will provide the better result by reducing the high variance. In case of large decision tree there is a chances of overfitting.
