One of the best book to start with statistics is An Introduction to Statistical Learning with Applications in R by
Gareth James, Daniela Witten, Trevor Hastie and Robert Tibshirani.

I started with Statistics for Management and Economics by Gerald Keller. It’s a great book with thousands of exercises.
