What is the difference between R square and Adjusted R square in Linear Regression?

  1. Both are used for model validation in linear regression. R square tells the variation of all the independent variables on the dependent variable but in case of adjusted R square it considers only significant variables(whose P-values is less than 0.05) to indicate the percentage of variation in the model.
