ML Interview Question | Time Series Dataset
Question
You are working on a time series data set. You manager has asked you to build a high accuracy model. You start with the decision tree algorithm, since you know it works fairly well on all kinds of data.
Later, you tried a time series regression model and got higher accuracy than decision tree model. Can this happen? Why?

Sorry it a private answer.
In the dataset if there is a date column and the data is subjected to periodic repeated changes in data pattern on the basis of seasons, trend changing factors, sudden changes in data behavior on a given data due to holidays etc then we an say the data is best suited for time series analysis.Time series analysis like ARIMA mostly take the in account the correlation between different objects collected at different time points.as well as the error of past forecasts to given to predict future values.
