ROC curve

Question

As we know, a ROC curve is plotted between TPR and FPR but to plot any curve we need different values of x and y. How do we get different TPR and FPR values for the plot?

Answer ( 1 )

  1. We change the threshold values for classification to get different TPR and FPR values. If the threshold is 0.5, then the probability > 0.5 is considered as class 1 and the probability < 0.5 is considered as class 0. We can set different threshold values to get different results.
